Cookie Policy
Last updated: 22 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Xanalys Ltd (“Xanalys”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on xanalys.org (the “Site”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains more generally how we handle personal information and the rights available to you.
Xanalys Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 06603135). This policy is designed to meet the requirements of the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), the EU GDPR and ePrivacy Directive, and applicable US state privacy laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (“CCPA/CPRA”) and the California Invasion of Privacy Act (“CIPA”).
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide site owners with information about how visitors use their site. We also use related technologies such as tags, scripts, and local storage, which this policy refers to collectively as “cookies”.
Cookies may be:
- First-party — set by xanalys.org directly; or
- Third-party — set by another organisation (for example, Google or Cloudflare) whose technology we use on the Site.
They may also be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (which remain on your device for a set period).
2. Your consent
Except for strictly necessary cookies, we do not set any cookies on your device until you have given your consent through the cookie banner displayed when you first visit the Site.
You can:
- Accept all cookies;
- Reject all non-essential cookies; or
- Customise your preferences by cookie category, then select ‘Save My Preferences’.
You may change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the “Consent Preferences” button at the bottom left of any page. This reopens the cookie banner so you can update your choices or withdraw consent immediately. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
3. Global Privacy Control and opt-out signals
We recognise and honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal and other legally recognised universal opt-out signals. If your browser or browser extension transmits a GPC signal, we will treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for the purposes of applicable US state privacy laws, and non-essential cookies will not be set.
4. The cookies we use

Further detail about the parties we share personal information with is set out in section 5 of our Privacy Policy.
6. How to control cookies in your browser
In addition to the controls we provide, most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Guidance is available for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Blocking all cookies may affect the functionality of this and other websites.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under data protection law, including rights of access, deletion, correction, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA and will not be discriminated against for exercising them. Details of these rights and how to exercise them are set out in our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or to legal requirements. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by re-presenting the consent banner.
